Soup Kitchen Service Project
A local nonprofit organization right here in Newnan assists provides homeless families with temporary housing and food. We are considering opportunities to serve this organization by preparing and serving meals to these residents. We'll discuss this option at our meeting and see if there is interest and availability to help serve these people.
Hospice / Nursing Home Service Project
We are contacting local Hospice and Nursing Homes because we would like to serve these residents in a variety of ways: folding towels, various entertainment, meeting and greeting the residents, serving/cleaning food, and general cleaning. We'll have more information about the opportunities for service at this meeting.
Community Welcome House Presentation
Linda Kirkpatrick, director of Community Welcome House, will be presenting at our meeting on Sunday about the services her organization provides.
Community Welcome House is a non-profit, Christian community based organization located right here in Newnan that provides assistance to women, teens, and children suffering from domestic and sexual abuse. This is group in need of volunteers in a variety of ways - donations of food, time, and talents. Linda will be educating us about their mission and purpose, and also give us some opportunities about how we might serve our community, and also serve our Lord, by partnering with the Community Welcome House.
By partnering with this quality organization it will allow us service opportunities that we might not realize on our own.
