Curtis and Buth boys look on as Antoinette prepares to carve
Forty days after Jesus rose from the dead, he ascended into heaven. On Ascension Day this year at Faith, the congregation gathered for a night of fellowship, food, and fun at our Pig Roast. The 140 pound pig was put on the fire the night before and spend 20 hours slowly cooking and smoking. The pork turned out to be fantastic.
Thanks again to Mark Massmann, Al Creel, and Gordon Boe for tending the fire. Gordon stayed at the firepit all night long. That's dedication!
About 100 people attended. The food was great, though a couple of people noted it's different to eat food with the face still attached!
All in all, God gave us a great night, a great meal, and a great church family to share it all with.
Make plans to join us next year for the 3rd Annual Ascension Day Pig Roast.
