Vicar Nass takes emergency call

Vicar Nass has accepted an emergency call to serve Christ the Lord Lutheran Church in Houston, Texas.

As you know, Nathan and Emily just finished up their year with us here at Faith and were returning to spend their eighth year of school at our Seminary in Mequon, Wisconsin. After they had arrived and had unpacked, the president of the Seminary informed Nathan that he had been called to serve as an assistant to Pastor Larry Schlomer, who had recently been elected to a synodical position.

After prayerful consideration, Nathan and Emily decided to bust out the packing boxes and put everything back on a truck to serve the Lord in the Lonestar State.

Nathan will serve another vicar year, and the will return to the Seminary next August to finish his last year of school. So this coming May, we will not have a former vicar being assigned as a pastor on Call Day, but we'll have two assigned into the Holy Ministry in 2013! We will continue to have vicars serve here at Faith in the same way we always have.
