Prof. Ned Farley Delivers Lecture on Christian Education
On Sunday March 22, 2009 Faith Lutheran Church was pleased to host Professor Ned Farley from Milwaukee, Wisconsin for a Sunday lecture on the topic of Bible-based education. Farley spoke during the 9:15 AM Bible hour in the education wing of church. More than 50 people attended the lecture. Farley spoke mainly about the challenges facing parents who wish to provide a BIble-based education for their children and offered counsel and advice for dealing with such challenges. Prof. Farley has gained first-hand experience in this area through his work with the Hope Christian School, a Christian charter school in the city of Milwaukee. Attendees left the discussion better informed about these challenges as well as some of the options available to parents that help make the Bible an important part of kids' education.
After church the congregation hosted a luncheon for Prof. Farley and his wife and two daughters.
Ned Farley is professor of anthropology at Wisconsin Lutheran College, a Christian liberal arts college in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He has been teaching a fully-accredited course in anthropology to a class of Georgia students through the Foundations program offered by Faith Lutheran.
